SBI Credit Card Lost
If you’ve lost your credit card or your SBI credit card has been stolen, you can immediately block your credit card using your SBI Cards app or by calling customer care.
You can also send an SMS to the SBI Cards SMS banking number and by sending the SMS, your card will be blocked. For blocking the SBI card, you are required to send an SMS BLOCK XXXX (XXXX=last 4 digits of your SBI Credit Card) and send it to 5676791.
If you want to call customer care, then you can call on SBI card helpline number Dial 39 02 02 02 (prefix local STD code) or 1860 180 1290. Apart from these methods, you can also access the SBI card website and log in to your account, and block your credit card from there.
If your card or wallet has been stolen, it is important for you to file an FIR to secure yourself from any liability for unauthorized access to your SBI Credit card.
SBI Debit Card Lost
If your debit card is lost you can block your card using your SBI YONO app, which is the fastest way to block the card. Apart from the SBI YONO app, you can also use net banking, SMS Banking, etc. to block your card.
For the SMS Banking facility, you’ve to send ‘BLOCK<space>XXXX’ (XXXX=last 4 digits of your SBI debit card) to 567676 from your registered mobile number.
How to Report unauthorized Credit/Debit card usage?
The bank has installed many safety systems with the banking system to keep the funds of the user safe. If there has been unauthorized use of your credit/debit card, you’ve to register a complaint with SBI bank, and they will communicate further about the fund recovery.
Also, it is also advised not to share any banking details or OTP sent on your mobile phone to keep your funds safe as the banking system has a two-step authentication method that uses the registered mobile number to generate an OTP, and based on OTP your payment will be initiated.

You can use the following methods to apply for a new SBI card-
Using SBI Card App for Credit Card
SBI Cards app is a specific app for credit card users only and you can use this app to apply for a new credit card. The following are the step-by-step instruction on how to apply for an SBI Credit card using the SBI cards app-
- Login to your SBI cards account using your login credentials
- After logging in, click on the menu followed by clicking on the service request button followed by clicking on the “Reissue/Replace Card”
- Now, select the card that you want to get reissued
- After choosing the card, you’ve to confirm the request by clicking on the submit button
- Your new credit card request is now generated and you’ll receive your credit at you resident within 7 working days.
Using SBI Net Banking for Debit card
The following are the SBI Net banking instructions to apply for SBI ATM Card-
- Login to your SBI Net banking account using your login credential followed by clicking on the ATM/Debit card services
- Now, click on the request New/Replacement button and select the debit card account you want the card to be reissued for
- Now, enter the name, type of card, address, etc. details into the given filed and click on the submit button
- After clicking on the submit button, an OTP will be sent on your registered mobile number and you’ve to enter the OTP given field
- After successful confirmation, your request for the new card will be processed and you’ll receive new SBI credit card within 7 working days.
Using SBI Mobile Banking for Debit card
SBI Mobile Banking or SBI YONO app can be used to apply for a new debit card online, which is as follows-
- Login to your SBI YONO app using your login credentials and click on the ATM/Debit card button followed by entering internet banking profile password
- Now, click on the request new/replacement button followed by selection the card you want to be reissued
- Now, enter the name, type of card, address, etc. details into the given filed and click on the submit button
- After clicking on the submit button, an OTP will be sent on your registered mobile number and you’ve to enter the OTP given field
- After successful confirmation, your request for the new card will be processed and you’ll receive new SBI credit card within 7 working days.
