You can use both the mobile banking app and net banking portal for accessing the online branch transfer services. The following are the step by step guides on how to transfer SBI account from one branch to another-
SBI YONO
- For using the account transfer method using the SBI YONO app, you have to open the SBI YONO app and login into your account using your login credentials
- After logging in, navigate to the services tab and click on the ‘Transfer Savings Account’ tab
- Now, select the savings account you want to transfer followed by providing the bank IFSC Code and branch code for the branch where you want your account to get transferred
- A pop-up will appear where you have to enter confirm button
- After clicking on the confirm button, you have to review your request one final time followed by clicking on the submit button
- Your request for SBI branch change is registered and your account will b transferred from one branch to other.
SBI YONO Lite
- For using the account transfer method using the SBI YONO lite app, you have to open the SBI YONO lite app and login into your account using your login credentials
- After logging in, navigate to the services tab and click on the ‘Transfer Savings Account’ tab

- Visit the official website of the SBI Net banking portal and login using your login credentials

- Now, select the account you wish to transfer, you can select various accounts like Sukanya Samriddhi Account, PPF account, etc. if you only have one account under your CIF number then by default your savings account number will be selected
- After selecting the account you want to transfer, you have to mention the bank branch code and IFSC Code where you want the account to be transferred followed by accepting the terms and conditions
- After submitting the request, you’ll be displayed the details which you have checked followed by clicking on the confirm button
- After clicking on the confirm option, an OTP will be sent on your Registered Mobile Number which you have to enter in the relevant field
- After successful verification of the OTP, your account will be registered by SBI for account transfer
Offline
The offline method is a traditional method using which an account holder can transfer his/her bank account from one bank branch to another. The following are the step by step instructions on transferring the bank branch from one account to another-
- Visit your SBI Bank branch where your account is currently operating from.
- Now, ask the bank representative for the account transfer form and fill the form with correct details
- Make sure you mention the bank branch code and IFSC Code of the bank on your form
- After filling the account transfer form, you have to submit the form along with your PAN Card, Aadhaar card, and an application requesting for transfer of your CIF Number and Account number to a new bank branch
- After verification of the transfer request, your account will be registered for transfer and you’ll be notified about the account transfer using your mobile number
