- You can recharge your FASTag account using PAYTM, or any other platform including CBI online portal
- The device comes with a 3-year warranty and a lifetime of validity
- You can also use the FASTag device to purchase fuel
- Every transaction you make will receive an SMS containing the transaction details
How to Apply for the FASTag device?
The following are the step-by-step instructions on how to apply for the FASTag device–
- Visit the official website of the Central Bank of India FASTag device application
- Now, enter your name, email ID, and Mobile number followed by clicking on the proceed button
- After clicking on the proceed button, you have to enter the OTP and confirm your mobile number
- After verifying the OTP, you have to create your login password and 6-digit PIN
- Now, login to your account using your mobile number and password
- After logging in, you have to connect your bank account with the FASTag application
- For connecting the bank account, you have to select the bank followed by entering the debit card details
- After confirming the bank account, you have to enter the Vehicle details like engine number, chassis number, and registration number
- After filling in the form, you have to make payment for your FASTag device
- After making the payment, your FASTag device will be initiated and you’ll receive the FASTag device vis post

- Bank of Baroda FASTag Application form filled (offline method only)

You have to install the FASTag device by removing the adhesive from the tag and pasting it on the windshield of your vehicle. You have to ensure that while pasting the device you are pasting it from the inside of your vehicle and it has to be visible from the outside.
Yes, it is a mandatory device that every 4 or more-wheeler car/jeep/truck must install. If you do not install the device then the toll tax charged to you will be doubled.
If the toll plaza operator asks you to pay the toll tax in cash then you have to check whether you have a sufficient balance in your account or not. If you are confirmed that you have a sufficient balance in your account then the toll plaza operator cannot force you to pay for the toll in cash. If he/she is asking you to pay in cash due to the malfunctioning of the scanner then the toll plaza by law has to give you a free transit.
No, the FASTag device is non-transferable meaning it cannot be transferred from person to person or vehicle to vehicle. Either way, you have to apply for a new FASTag device for your specific vehicle.
Yes, you have to remove the FASTag device compulsorily before selling your car as the FASTag device is non-transferable.
