How to Apply for Bank of Maharashtra FASTag?
You can use the following methods to apply for the Bank of Maharashtra FASTag device-
- Visit the Bank of Maharashtra premises and ask the bank representative for the FASTag account opening form
- Now, fill the application form with details like name, address, vehicle number, chassis number, engine number, etc.
- Attach all the documents of your vehicle category along with the application form and submit it to the bank representative
- Also, make sure you are submitting the initial deposit amount as well
- Your application and documents will be reviewed and they will be further forwarded for processing
- After processing your application request, you’ll be notified about the status of the FASTag request within 3-4 working days, and your FASTag device will be dispatched and reach you within 7 working days
- After receiving your Bank of Maharashtra FASTag device, you’ll have to install the device on your vehicle and login to your account using the official Bank of Maharashtra FASTag portal
- After logging in, you’ll be able to manage your device using the portal like Recharging your FASTag device, checking device balance, etc.

You can install the FASTag device from inside of the vehicle by removing the adhesive from the device and pasting the device on the windshield preferably in the center of the windshield. Make sure that the device is visible from the outside of the vehicle and that there are no obstructions while viewing from the outside.
No, Two-wheelers are kept outside of the FASTag device mandatory requirement. You do not need to have a FASTag device installed on your vehicle.
If you do not use the FASTag device to commute through a toll tax or your FASTag device balance is exhausted then you’ll have to pay twice the amount of tax that you would pay with the FASTag device as a penalty. This is an official Government of India order.
In case, the FASTag scanner is not working then you have a legal right to not pay the toll tax and demand free transit. This is a Government of India order and is viable across India.
